9th IDF Symposium on Sheep, Goat, Camel, and other Non-Bovine Milk

DATE: February 9 – 11, 2026
The International Dairy Federation (IDF) is bringing together the global dairy community in Anand, India, for a landmark Symposium focused on milk from sheep, goats, camels, and other non-bovine species.

These animals are widely distributed across the globe and play a vital role in supporting sustainable livelihoods—contributing to local economies, empowering women, enhancing food security, and sustaining rural and peri-urban communities.
This three-day event will highlight the latest scientific advancements in:

  • 🧬 Human nutrition related to non-bovine milk,
  • 🧪 Science and technology in dairy processing,
  • 🐪 Animal health and welfare.

The Symposium will serve as a dynamic platform for international experts to exchange knowledge and insights. It aims to inform key stakeholders—including governments, intergovernmental organizations, academia, producers, processors, consumers, and civil society—about emerging trends and innovations in dairy products, sustainability, and animal care from these species.
