Fifth edition of the IDF Global Marketing Trends bulletin released – insights shared in July webinar

The fifth edition of the IDF Global Marketing Trends bulletin is now available, offering a comprehensive analysis of dairy consumption trends across 17 countries from 2018 to 2023. Developed by IDF’s Standing Committees on Marketing and Dairy Policy & Economics, the report explores how global events—including the Covid-19 pandemic, economic and political instability, and climate change—have reshaped consumer behavior and market dynamics.

Covering a wide range of dairy categories such as milk, cheese, butter, yoghurt, and ice cream, the report also addresses evolving consumer expectations around health, sustainability, and convenience. It examines the influence of plant-based alternatives, dietary shifts like flexitarianism, and anti-dairy narratives, providing benchmarking data and actionable market intelligence for dairy professionals.

To share key findings, IDF hosted a technical webinar on Thursday, July 17, 2025, led by Christine Leighton, Isabelle Pinta-Costa, and other members of the Action Team. The session featured country-specific insights, sustainability concerns, and a forward-looking outlook on global dairy demand. This webinar complements the annual IDF World Dairy Situation Report and reflects the expertise of IDF specialists worldwide.
