This is the first time that the IDF World Dairy Summit returns to the US in 30 years.

The Summit will take place October 16-19 and will feature three and a half days of immersive programming offering participants ample opportunity to explore the latest science and most successful practices in dairy, as well as access to an unparalleled community of like-minded colleagues eager to reenergize relationships and build new connections. The Summit will attract more than 1,000 dairy leaders from more than 35 countries – each one offering unique perspectives and expertise that will enrich the Summit experience.

Under the theme “BE Dairy: Boundless Potential. Endless Possibilities.” Summit participants can take advantage of top-notch plenary and technical sessions as well as technical tours while also experiencing Chicago’s cultural landmarks, culinary scene and entertainment.

Content will include can’t-miss sessions on economic drivers for the decade ahead, dairy’s contributions to sustainable food systems and nourishing the world, global standards and trade, sustainability and market dynamics. In the much-anticipated Global Leaders Forum, dairy leaders will discuss how their organizations are employing new approaches to meeting today’s challenges while also charting a path toward a prosperous future.

“The IDF World Dairy Summit is unique as a truly global gathering, bringing together diverse voices from across the international dairy community and offering unequaled content on the most pressing issues impacting dairy farmers and processors”, said 2023 Summit Co-Chair Shawna Morris, Senior Vice President of Trade Policy for the U.S. Dairy Export Council and the National Milk Producers Federation.

“This year’s Summit in Chicago will be a showstopper, and the U.S. host committee can’t wait to welcome everyone committed to being part of dairy’s future in the United States and around the world. We know participants will love the action-packed agenda, and we can’t wait to make lifelong memories together from the exhibit hall to the dance floor”, she added.

With Chicago’s world-class architecture and waterfront location as the backdrop, Summit participants will also experience the best of U.S. culture and entertainment, plus easy access to some of the United States’ famed dairy producing regions. From an electric welcome reception at the famed House of Blues to a spectacular gala at the world-renowned Field Museum, Summit participants will make lifelong memories and build lasting connections.

The Summit will advance the dairy industry’s role of being nourishers, innovators, job creators, visionaries, and an example of sustainability. The full program is available on the Summit website, and further exciting sessions and speakers will be unveiled throughout the summer.
