IDF will present a paper at the Codex Alimentarius Commission CAC41 in Rome next month on ways to improve interactions between international organisations and Codex, and the development of complementary partnerships.
IDF Director General Caroline Emond will undertake the presentation at the invitation of the Codex Secretariat at the next session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission from 2-6 July 2018, which will be attended by over 300 delegates.
Joining the DG at the event will be Eric Grande (France), Chair of FSSG and SPCC representative for food standards, and IDF Technical Manager Aurélie Dubois.
The paper has been shared with the National Committees and is available on the IDF intranet. It is also available on the Codex website in English, French and Spanish.
Meanwhile, Codex Secretary Tom Heilandt has accepted the invitation by the IDF DG to address the World Dairy Summit in Daejeon, South Korea, in October during a bilateral meeting on 24 May in Rome.
