WHO Guidance on ending the inappropriate promotion of foods for infants and young children
The IDF recognizes the important role of global standards and guidance in ensuring that infants and young children have access to safe, nutritious and age appropriate foods. We therefore welcome the ongoing work to develop standards and guidance on nutritious products for this age group.
The Dairy Declaration of Rotterdam
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Dairy Federation (IDF) signed the Dairy Declaration of Rotterdam on 19th October during the IDF World Dairy Summit.
Ms Gerda Verburg opens the IDF World Dairy Summit 2016
“Providing good and well-balanced nutrition is the key factor for solving poverty in the world”. With these words, Ms Gerda Verburg, coordinator of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement, an UN-based international network organization in Geneva, aimed at defeating global malnutrition, opened the IDF World Dairy Summit 2016 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
